Summary

A reluctant woman, a determined popstar, and the song that started it all。

After growing up in Nashville with two musician parents, I promised myself one thing—I would never, ever fall in love with anyone who had anything to do with the music scene。 I will take my stable, albeit boring, accountant boyfriend, thank you very much, and live securely ever after。 At least that was the plan。 Who knew one ridiculous party where boy band sensation Finn Thatcher showed up would turn my life completely upside down。

How dare he write a song about me。 A song that went straight to number one。 A song that messes everything up with his band。 And who gets the blame for that? That’s right, me。 I’m the new Yoko Ono。 The only way to fix it is to, well 。 。 。 give the world what it wants—a love story。 We are talking the whole freaking fairy tale。 Nothing says true love like a fake relationship。 But what if it’s not so fake? What if I want the happily ever after? Or am I just another love song to Finn?

Rock Star Rom Com!OMG! LOVE this book! I couldn't put it down but at the same time I didn't want to finish it because I was enjoying it so much。 It was funny & both characters, Finn & Lou, were adorable! Story was interesting & fun。 I haven't enjoyed a book so much in quite awhile。 Keep writing such beautiful stories。 P。S。 I would love for you to continue this story , maybe about Finn's family or Lou's sister。 Just an idea! Becky Monson does not disappoint with Love Songs Suck! She has once again created relatable and lovable characters with both Lou and Finn and you quickly find yourself rooting for them to win! At times you just want to shake Lou and tell her to wake up。 I absolutely LOVED the chapter titles!

I absolutely fell in love with Finn and Lou or Donny and Louella! What a great storyline! I am a sucker for rock stars and especially boy band rock stars… thank you, Becky for such a fun book and I just know you will love it too! Had a lovely book hangover!💜💜💜

I read this book way faster than intended。 I just got so engrossed in Lou and Finn and their lives。 Ugh I think I need to read all of Becky’s books now。

This was a cute, very easy read。 Low drama, some great introspection from Lou, our heroine。 I loved to see that the author gave the character career development, and that she discovered her own talents。 Too often this falls by the wayside as the love story takes over and the female character basically becomes a breeding machine by the end of the book with the man's career in the front seat while her own personal career hopes and dreams gone。 This is the sort of palate-cleanser book when you're r This was a cute, very easy read。 Low drama, some great introspection from Lou, our heroine。 I loved to see that the author gave the character career development, and that she discovered her own talents。 Too often this falls by the wayside as the love story takes over and the female character basically becomes a breeding machine by the end of the book with the man's career in the front seat while her own personal career hopes and dreams gone。 This is the sort of palate-cleanser book when you're recovering from a severe book hangover and want something gentle with lovely characters (inc the side supporting best friends Val and Marco)。 。。。more

Loved it!Wow。 Just wow。 I loved Love Songs Suck so much! It made me smile and laugh out loud (and I may or may not have even shed a few tears near the end)。 It was a story that kept me engaged and turning pages, 'cause you know Louella was never going to end up with her lousy fiancé, but you didn't know exactly how she was going to get her happily ever after with Flinn。I seriously loved it! I have a new favorite from Becky Monson!! I can't tell you how fast I devoured this book--it would've been even faster but I had a full weekend。 However, I got back to it as soon as humanly possible and didn't put it down until I finished it, but then I was sad that I'd read it so fast。 #bookworm problemsLouella (aka Lou) is just a normal girl with a job writing technical manuals until she has an awkward meeting with Finn Thatcher, star of the boy band More Than That and he writes a song about h I have a new favorite from Becky Monson!! When the paparazzi discover she's THE Louella and camp outside her apartment she doesn't know what to do。 She can't stay inside her apartment forever。 Can she? This is a great slow-burn romance with a friends to lovers vibe, some close proximity and fake dating。 I didn't want to stop reading about Louella and Finn, and couldn't wait to see what it was going to take to finally bring them together。 There are so many things I love about this book:🎵 Louella's relationship with her younger sister。 🎵 Louella's bestie Val and her husband Marco! Marco is the best!!🎵 The song titles for each chapter!! 🎵 Of course Finn and Louella--the texting and playful banter oh my!🎵 The way she sneaks out of her apartment--appliance boxes are good for something after all。🎵 "Fake" dating🎵 Swoony kisses🎵 Finn's family!! They're awesome!Do yourself a favor and put aside a day to read this book, because once you get sucked into Louella and Finn's story you won't want to stop。 This is a sweet romance with just kisses and mild language。I received a complimentary ecopy from the author but loved it so much I bought a digital copy for my personal library。 All thoughts expressed in this review are my own。 。。。more

Sweet RomanceA lovely, sweet romantic comedy。 Enjoyed the story, wish there had been more romance and less angst。 All in all, it’s a good story, worth the read。

Oh my word this book y’all!! It was so good。 Like wish life would just pause so I could binge read it。 Have you ever had a friend that stayed in a relationship because on paper it was everything she wanted? The security, the easiness, the comfort。 If so then you will relate so much with our main character Lou。 She is the sweetest person and so loyal, almost to a fault。 She has just lost site of her worth and what she deserves。And then we have our dreamboat, Finn…。he is the lead singer of the boy Oh my word this book y’all!! The security, the easiness, the comfort。 If so then you will relate so much with our main character Lou。 She is the sweetest person and so loyal, almost to a fault。 She has just lost site of her worth and what she deserves。And then we have our dreamboat, Finn…。he is the lead singer of the boy band we all grew up loving。 You know the one where girls go to the concert and end up sobbing they are so overwhelmed with emotion。 Except this heartthrob is sweet and kind and selfless。 In all honesty he is every woman’s fantasy。 Oh yeah and he’s hot too, but I’m sure you assumed that one。One star-crossed meeting and Finn can’t get Lou out of his head, so much so he writes a solo song with her name at the very center。 A song that goes to the top of the charts。 Then with one slip up during an interview now everyone knows who Lou is wanted by all the paparazzi。 I can’t give too much away, because you have to read this for yourself。 Just trust me when I say you will not want to put this one down。 The feels, the angst…oh my word it is just that good! I will leave you with this; what does a girl do when she has the man she thought was the guy of her dreams, that is until she gets to know the man behind the legend that is Finn? 。。。more

From the texts, to the late-night songwriting, to the creative ways to ditch the paparazzi, I was all in。 "Being transported in a box to get away from the paparazzi was definitely not on my life bingo card。"Becky Monson isn't a one-hit wonder。 Love Songs Suck left my heart spinning and swooning, and my soul craving more。 I didn't want to leave this world! Okay…。 I read a lot of sweet romance books from many authors, but Becky Monson is one of my faves! This was such a fun twist on normal rom-com tropes that I haven’t seen before。 The characters and the story are both well developed with plenty of light-hearted moments。 Read it! You’ll love it!

As an AI language model, I cannot form opinions, but the book 'Love Songs Suck' is a potential title for a book that could explore the darker side of love and relationships, challenging the commonly held notion that love songs are always uplifting and romantic。 It may delve into failed relationships, heartbreak, and the complexities of love in modern times。
